Cybersecurity & Network Management in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi’s government, energy and regulated organisations carry a high bar for security — and a low tolerance for risk. ONYX designs, configures and manages the controls that keep your Abu Dhabi network and data protected, remotely and continuously, aligned to recognised security baselines and delivered by an established team on Gulf Standard Time.
Why remote security management suits Abu Dhabi organisations
We do not have an Abu Dhabi office, and for security that is an advantage — controls are administered remotely, with least-privilege access and full change logging. Here is how it works in your favour.
No local office overhead
You are not paying for a Dubai storefront, local salaries or on-site desks baked into every invoice. The remote delivery model keeps senior engineering affordable for lean UAE teams and free-zone SMEs.
Senior, English-first engineers
You work directly with experienced engineers who speak fluent English — not a first-line script. Communication, documentation and reporting are all in clear English throughout the engagement.
On Gulf Standard Time
Our delivery center in Baku sits on UTC+4 — the exact same offset as the UAE. Stand-ups, changes, escalations and helpdesk all happen during your working day, not overnight.
An established team, not a startup
ONYX was founded in 2019 and has delivered 100+ IT projects. You get the depth of an established team from day one, without recruiting, onboarding or carrying that headcount yourself.
Secure, least-privilege access
We administer your systems over secure remote connections with named accounts, MFA and scoped permissions. Every change is documented, so you keep a clear, auditable trail of who did what.
Cost-effective nearshore delivery
Nearshore delivery from Baku gives you senior Gulf-aligned engineering at a fraction of the cost of hiring the same seniority locally — the differentiator, framed honestly, not hidden.

Built for the Abu Dhabi market
Security aligned to Abu Dhabi’s standards and risk posture
From NESA / UAE Information Assurance awareness to sovereign-cloud data residency, we align the controls to what Abu Dhabi’s regulated sectors expect.
NESA / UAE IA standards support
We align hardening and controls to recognised security baselines and can map our technical work to support your NESA and UAE Information Assurance obligations. This is compliance support and documentation — we do not claim to hold or issue any certification on your behalf.
Regulated, risk-averse sectors
Government, energy and regulated Abu Dhabi organisations need documented, defensible security. We deliver structured audits, prioritised remediation and continuous monitoring with documented changes and least-privilege access throughout — built for scrutiny.
Sovereign-cloud & data residency
Where your data and backups live is a first-order question here. We design controls with UAE data-residency and sovereign-cloud considerations in mind and keep your data in the region and accounts you choose — not moved abroad.
Established team for cautious buyers
Founded in 2019 with 100+ delivered projects, ONYX brings a proven engineering track record. For risk-averse Abu Dhabi buyers, that history — not a marketing claim — is what makes a remote security partner credible.
Security to Abu Dhabi’s standard
Abu Dhabi’s government and critical-sector organisations operate under a high security bar. The UAE Information Assurance Standards (often referenced as NESA) set structured, risk-based controls, and regulated entities are expected to evidence them. Security cannot be a firewall bought once and forgotten: it has to be designed, hardened to a recognised baseline, monitored continuously and documented well enough to withstand scrutiny.
We deliver that as a managed remote service. Controls are aligned to recognised security baselines and mapped to support your UAE IA / NESA obligations — as compliance support and evidence, never a certification we claim to hold on your behalf. Firewalls are configured and tuned, remote access is segmented and zero-trust, and monitoring runs continuously, all over least-privilege connections with full change logging. For an Abu Dhabi organisation that has to defend its posture to a regulator, documented, disciplined security matters more than a local address.
Proven delivery
Real delivery behind the service
The remote service is backed by hands-on engineering. This is anonymized reference work our team delivered — the depth now behind what we run for Abu Dhabi businesses.
Defence & industrial sector
A hardened core for a high-stakes site
ONYX built the secure core for a defence and industrial-sector organisation — a dedicated data-centre room, Active Directory and mail, and a Checkpoint firewall guarding the perimeter. Delivering security for an environment where the stakes are high, to a defined standard, is the same discipline we extend remotely to Abu Dhabi’s regulated and government-adjacent organisations.

- Can you manage security and firewalls in Abu Dhabi without being on-site?
- Yes. Enterprise firewalls such as Fortinet and Palo Alto are configured, tuned and managed over secure remote connections — the manufacturer-supported way these devices are administered — with monitoring and hardening also handled remotely on Gulf Standard Time. Physical rack work, if ever needed, is coordinated with a local pair of hands you nominate.
- Do you support NESA and UAE Information Assurance compliance?
- We align hardening and controls to recognised security baselines and can map our technical work and documentation to support your NESA and UAE Information Assurance obligations. To be clear, this is compliance support — we provide the technical controls and evidence; we do not hold, issue or certify NESA compliance on your behalf.
- Your team is in Baku — is that acceptable for a regulated Abu Dhabi organisation?
- Where your data lives and where our engineers connect from are separate. Your data and backups stay in the region and accounts you choose — we do not move them to Azerbaijan. Our engineers administer your systems over secure, least-privilege remote access with named accounts, MFA and full change logging, so every action is attributable and auditable. Where your compliance requires it, we can scope, restrict and document cross-border administrative access and support a matching data-processing agreement.
- Do you make certification or vendor-partner claims?
- No. We reference the technologies we work with — such as Fortinet firewalls — factually and align hardening to recognised baselines, but we do not display vendor partner badges or make certification claims, including NESA, that we cannot substantiate.
- How do you handle data residency for Abu Dhabi’s sovereign-cloud needs?
- We design controls with UAE data-residency and sovereign-cloud considerations in mind — including where data and backups live and which region is appropriate — and keep your data in the accounts and region you choose. We provide the technical controls and documentation to support your residency requirements.
- How is security work in Abu Dhabi priced?
- It depends on your environment and whether you need a one-off audit, a hardening project or ongoing managed security and monitoring. We scope it and send a written quote after an initial review — there are no published fixed prices.
